If they are local or regional terrorists I assume that the intelligence agencies will share that information.”Rohee also disclosed that the Security Committee that was set up by cabinet met thrice and agreed that the security plan could be implemented with some modifications.“Fortunately, the Cricket World Cup legacy, where we had a similar security plan, helped us to put together the security arrangements for these championships.”He expressed confidence that the security machinery would operate as smoothly as it did when the Cricket World Cup matches were held at the National Stadium in 2007.The Home Affairs Minister also recalled that it was during this period that the security forces dismantled the remnants of the Rondel ‘Fine Man’ Rawlins gang.“We would be happy if during the course of those security arrangements we would reap similar harvests.”Assistant Commissioner of Police Paul Slowe, who is the Security Director for the ICC World Twenty20 tournament, had recently assured journalists that security systems were in place for any eventuality at practice matches and during the upcoming tournament.
